Pulsing is a rhythmical and exceptionally fluid form of bodywork based on different methods of rocking the client’s body that manages to support the body-mind system in releasing deep-seated tensions and imbalances.
Although it works within an almost continuous flow of movement, this form of bodywork is often exceptionally relaxing, sometimes to the point of being like a deep meditation for both receiver and giver. At other times, the work can become more vigorous as the practitioner moves all around the body. During these phases of the work, it is not uncommon for laughter –or occasionally tears- to surface and then subside in gentle waves as the mind and body of the receiver begin to unwind. Another of the benefits of pulsing massage is that it is both very soothing to receive at the same time as being a deeper form of massage therapy. Pulsing massage is a way of truly letting go and of then finding an enhanced inner spaciousness inside as a result.
This very hands-on and creative workshop has proven continuingly popular with students for some years now. Incorporating elements of breathwork and creative visualisation alongside the bodywork aspect, it offers a way in which to reconnect with the inspiration of your massage practice.
By the culmination of this weekend workshop, participants will be able to offer a full-body pulsing treatment or, importantly, also have the confidence to integrate elements of pulsing into their existing massage therapy work.
