Meditation is an exquisite path of inner discovery; yet, it can appear daunting at first sight. ‘What if I can’t do it?’ ‘What will I do with it if I find out that I can?’ These questions, and many more, are common for those new to the meditative arts.
Over a period of about ten years, Katyayani has been creating and facilitating group sessions in guided meditation that are designed to carry even the most reluctant meditator into a softer and more peaceful inner space of reflection and exploration. This she has done by finding ways in which to harness and involve the scampering mind, rather than attempt to ignore its wandering ways. She has incorporated meditation classes into her work in the HIV+ care field in day centres, and in hospital and residential retreat settings; she has made meditation a regular part of the curriculum in her training of healing arts practitioners; she has threaded through elements in her own healing arts practice. Since 2008, she has also been facilitating regular open meditation groups that remain very much of the heart space and that further serve as the creation of true sacred community.
Katyayani will be offering classes in guided tantric meditation throughout this Autumn and also a class of chakra meditations that will run from 3 September 2009. Both courses are open to everyone and are positively committed to providing a friendly and nurturing space for all who wish to invest in their highest inner well-being, health and happiness.
